St. Louis, MO. – Washington University in St. Louis will host the only formal debate between vice presidential candidates next year, on Oct. 2.
It is the fifth time the university will be the site of a key debate during the presidential race.
In 2004, the university hosted one of three debates between President Bush and Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry.
The three presidential debates next year will be held at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee and Hofstra University On Long Island, New York.
The nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Debates chooses debate sites every four years.
