St. Louis, Mo. – The Air Force is grounding all F-15 fighter jets after one crashed in central Missouri Friday.

Officials say structural damage might have occurred in the aircraft, so they are suspending flights as a precaution.

The F15C Eagle crashed in Dent County on Friday morning. The pilot ejected and suffered some injuries. He was released from the hospital Saturday. No one on the ground was hurt.

It was the second crash in six months of an F-15 from the 131st Fighter Wing in St. Louis.

An F-15D went down May 30th in rural Indiana. A report released last month found a jammed cable was the cause of that crash.

An investigative report into the latest incident is expected in about 60 days.
