Springfield, MO. – The man accused of a southwest Missouri church massacre is now also charged with sexual assault on a 14-year-old girl.
Newton County prosecutors filed the new charges today against Eiken Elam Saimon of Neosho.
Saimon is charged with second-degree statutory rape and second-degree statutory sodomy, both felonies.
He is being held without bond on three counts of murder and related charges for the August 12th shooting in a church in Neosho.
Three leaders of a local community of South Pacific immigrants from Micronesia were killed. Saimon is also Micronesian.
