St. Louis, MO – A long-time principal at the Normandy School District has been fired amid allegations she falsified attendance records.
Officials say principal Nancy Baker ordered her staff at Pine Lawn Elementary School to mark all students 'present' in the final week of the school year.
Doing that could potentially mean thousands of extra state dollars for the district and boost performance reviews, as the formula for state aid is based in part on attendance.
Her last day was Friday, after starting at the district as a teacher in 1983.
