St. Louis, MO – Former Missouri Congressman Dick Gephardt is endorsing Hillary Clinton's run for the White House.
The St. Louis Democrat, who also served as House Democratic leader, ran for President twice.
The backing comes as Clinton finishes up a four-day campaign swing through Iowa.
Gephardt won the Iowa caucuses in his first presidential bid in 1988. But lack of funds cost his campaign momentum and he dropped out of the race after that year's "Super Tuesday" primaries.
In his second bid in 2004, Gephardt counted on getting an early boost from Iowa, but came in fourth. He ended his campaign the next day.
