By AP/KWMU

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – Former President Bill Clinton will be in Independence, Mo. today (Thur.) to speak at the 50th anniversary of the Truman Presidential Museum and Library.

The center has noted meaning for Clinton; that's where he kicked off his 1992 presidential campaign.

More than 500 people are expected at the sold-out event at Community of Christ Auditorium. Museum officials say Clinton will talk about the legacy left by Truman and its relevance to today's world.

Clinton arrives in Missouri after making campaign appearances for his wife, Hillary, in Iowa.
