Kirkwood, MO – The order that operates the Catholic Vianney High School in Kirkwood has settled a lawsuit with a teenager.
The teen accused the school's former president, Rev. Robert Osborne, of molesting him two years ago when he was a student.
The religious order says the settlement was not an admission of guilt on the part of Osborne.
St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch has said there was no evidence of any criminal conduct. No charges were filed against Osborne, but Osborne did resign as president before this past school year.
A spokeswoman for the Marianist Province of the United States says the order's insurance carrier advised the Marianists to settle the case.
