St. Louis – Authorities in St. Louis are offering a $5,000 reward for information about whoever stole explosives from a bunker at the St. Charles County Sheriff's Department training center.

The FBI and sheriff's department share the bunker. They use it to store explosives for training exercises.

Not everything in the bunker was taken. But FBI Special Agent Zach Lowe said the stolen items include C-4, dynamite, and detonating cord. However he would not say how much is missing.

"I'm not an expert with plastic explosives, but enough has been taken that we are concerned about public safety," Lowe said. "We're concerned about the community. We want to recover it as quickly as possible."

Authorities say the explosives were taken sometime in the last ten days, though they don't know exactly when.

An FBI agent discovered the theft Tuesday.

Anyone with information should call the ATF at 1-888-ATF-BOMB.
