St. Louis, MO – Homeowners across the region got their new property reassessments more than a month ago; now it's businesses turn.
St. Louis County is mailing commercial re-assessments this week; on average those property assessments will increase by 25%.
That covers more than 10,000 businesses in the County. They, like residential property owners, will also have the chance to appeal. They must contact the County's Board of Equalization (314-615-7195) by June 18 to request an appeal.
According to county figures, the largest median increases in commercial assessments are in the Maplewood (46.7%), Webster Groves (37.7%), and Brentwood (34.2%) school districts. The smallest increases are in the Riverview Gardens (14.4.%), Jennings (15.8%), and Normandy (16.1%) districts.
