St. Louis, MO – There's been another threat at a St. Louis area school, but officials this time are keeping classes going.
Officials at McCleur High School in Florissant say they found a message written on a bathroom wall Tuesday; it was the second time in four days they had found a message.
Spokeswoman Nancy Pollock says they believe it's just a copycat message from someone trying to get attention, but they are still instating new measures for the rest of the school year. "As students come in, if they do have a backpack, we're checking it at the door," Pollock said, in an interview. "They can pick it up on their way back out."
Access to the school is also being limited, and no hall passes will be issued. Visitors also won't be allowed.
"It's a shame that an individual or small group is inconveniencing everyone else."
Classes also were canceled this week at Rockwood Summit, Francis Howell North, and Mascoutah High Schools because of threats. In each of those cases, the threats were found to be bogus.
