Building demolition will mean closed bridge, Metrolink changes

St. Louis, MO – The Eads Bridge is closed and will stay closed until at least Wednesday afternoon, so crews can tear down the nearby Switzer Building.

Metrolink will still run during the day hours, but the Laclede's Landing stop will close at 9:00 p.m. every for at least the next three nights. People who want to take Metrolink across the river during those late-night hours will be bussed from the Convention Center stop to 5th and Missouri.

The Switzer building, which had been under renovation, is coming down because it's not salvageable after it was heavily damaged in a storm last summer. The building rests just feet from the Eads Bridge, thus the need for traffic and Metrolink changes.
