St. Louis, MO – The Guggenheim name will forever be linked to St. Louis because of Charles Guggenheim's movie about the building of the Gateway Arch.

But Charles's son, Davis, is also an Oscar-winning filmmaker - best known for producing the Al Gore documentary "An Inconvenient Truth."

Davis Guggenheim will be in St. Louis tonight for a private reception at the Danforth Center, and KWMU's Tom Weber had a chance to speak with him.

Guggenheim says his goal with "An Inconvenient Truth" was not to pitch a cause, but tell a story.

Editor's note: Davis Guggenheim, who is married to actress Elisabeth Shue, has recently completed a new movie that's based on an experience Shue had as a teenager. To hear more about the movie, click here
