Hardin, Ill. – The head baseball coach at Calhoun High School in Hardin has been charged with driving under the influence after a traffic wreck in Sunday.
Authorities say Casey Longnecker, 31, who also serves as an assistant football and basketball coach at the school, was arrested after the crash in Hardin early Sunday.
Calhoun County Sheriff Bill Heffington says the full accident and arrest report isn't complete yet and the case remains under investigation. Heffington says Longnecker was charged after a caller reported he had hit a parked car.
Longnecker posted his driver's license and $100 as bail and was given a June 5 court date.
Calhoun Schools Superintendent Carole Crum says she won't comment until she verifies some of the charges.
