Michigan State, Boston College advance in Frozen Four

St. Louis, MO – Michigan State and Boston College won their games Friday at the Frozen Four in St. Louis. They'll play for college hockey's championship Saturday at the Scottrade Center.

In the first game Friday, Nick Sucharski scored the go-ahead goal and Jeff Lerg made 29 saves as Michigan State beat Maine 4-2. The Spartans trailed 2-0 before advancing to the title game for the first time in 21 years.

In the second game, Nathan Gerbe scored the go-ahead goal with just over four minutes left as the Eagles downed Maine 6-4. Dan Bertman tallied twice for BC, which carries a 13-game winning streak into the championship game.
