St. Louis – You might not have noticed it, but a tornado touched down Saturday evening in south St. Louis. In fact the twister was so small, that it took meteorologists until late Sunday to confirm what actually happened.
The storm damaged some trees and tore the roofs off three homes. Two people driving on Highway 40 suffered minor injuries, but no one else was hurt.
National Weather Service meteorologist Jim Kramper told KWMU's Matt Sepic the tornado first touched down in the Shaw Neighborhood near Tower Grove Park.
