St. Louis – St. Louis School Board President Veronica O'Brien is reiterating her call for superintendent Diana Bourisaw to be fired.
O'Brien pressed the board to hire Bourisaw last summer after former Superintendent Creg Williams was forced to resign.
But since then the two have been at odds. O'Brien said Bourisaw is not cut out for the district's top job.
"Diana Bourisaw has to be the worst superintendent we have ever, ever had," O'Brien said. "She's not forthright. She's in over her head. If I had my way, I wouldn't have her anywhere near the St. Louis public school system."
The St. Louis school district has had six superintendents since 2003.
O'Brien was a guest Monday (4/2) on KWMU's St. Louis on the Air. Superintendent Diana Bourisaw will be on the program the following Monday.
