Gamblers sue Ameristar claiming casino cheated them on reward points

By AP/KWMU

St. Charles, Mo. – Seven gamblers are suing a St. Charles casino, claiming they were cheated out of money, food and points when the gambling boat changed its video poker rewards program.

The suit was filed Tuesday against Ameristar. The plaintiffs want $150 million in damages.

The company denies any wrongdoing and says the suit is frivolous.

Like many casinos, Ameristar has a program that allows video poker players to earn points for food, cash back and other perks.

The lawsuit claims the casino made it harder to earn points without telling customers.
