St. Louis, MO – Aldermen in the St. Louis suburb of Valley Park will again discuss immigration at their meeting tonight (Monday) and could vote on their third ordinance on the subject.
The city has twice passed legislation to ban illegal immigrants from doing certain things, like renting an apartment. The first law was struck down, and the second law was passed soon after that.
But that law is on hold because of a restraining order.
A pending lawsuit claims the second ordinance, like the first, is unconstitutional.
