Man charged in case of toddler's shooting death

Venice, Ill. – The owner of a gun used by one child to kill a two-year-old girl in a Metro East apartment is charged with child endangerment and illegally having a weapon as a felon.

Madison County prosecutors in Illinois also charged 23-year-old Anthony Wise today with obstructing justice.

Timberlyn Terrell died yesterday at a St. Louis hospital, a day after being shot in the head in her apartment in the community of Venice by a child who found the handgun.

The age of the child who fired the gun hasn't been released. An investigator says the child was related to Timberlyn but wasn't a sibling.

Wise is jailed in Edwardsville on $75,000 dollars bond.
