St. Louis, MO. – An investigator in the Metro East community of Shiloh says an 84-year-old woman who crashed her car through a school cafeteria -- killing a student -- was headed for a driving class at a nearby senior citizen's center.
At a news conference today, Police Chief Jim Stover refused to discuss other details of the investigation.
Ryan Wesling, 8, was killed in the lunchtime accident yesterday at Shiloh Elementary School. Two other students were treated at a hospital and released.
A family friend read a statement from Amanda Wesling, Ryan's mother. In the note, she says she hopes the crash haunts Grace Keim, the driver of the car, and that she has no sympathy for Keim or her family.
Keim, who lives in Belleville, has been released from a hospital. No charges have been filed.
