St. Louis, MO – The firm in charge of rebuilding ten miles of Interstate 64/Highway 40 said this morning (Thursday) it will delay one of the closures it announced earlier this week.
Gateway Constructors says the St. Louis County Highway Department asked them to hold off closing two ramps from Hanley to westbound I-64.
They were to close in March. But now the southbound Hanley ramp will close in April and the northbound Hanley ramp will close in June.
The delay will let the county improve signals and traffic flow on other county roads that are expected see more cars during construction.
All other closures, including two lanes of I-170 between I-64 and the Galleria Parkway, are still set to happen as planned.
