St. Louis, MO – President Bush has nominated St. Louisan Sam Fox to be the U.S. Ambassador to Belgium.
Fox is big donor to Republican Party causes and even hosted First Lady Laura Busch earlier this year for a private fund-raiser.
The Senate is expected to confirm him and when that happens, he'll be near another Missourian who's serving overseas. Former Republican Party Chair Ann Wagner is serving as Ambassador to Luxembourg.
Fox, 77, is founder and chairman of the Clayton-based Harbour Group and is national chairman of the Jewish Republican Coalition. He also sits on the Washington University Board of Trustees, and the campus's visual arts bulidings carries his name.
