St. Louis – Officials in St. Louis County and city say last week's ice storm did far less damage to trees than the thunderstorms in July.

The good news is there's not as much damage as last time. The bad news is there will be no federal or state money for cleanup.

Residents of unincorporated St. Louis County will have to get rid of fallen trees on their own. But in the city, crews will do curbside pickup.

City Parks Director Gary Bess said the damage was not as widespread this time, so forestry trucks will not be everywhere.

"Rather than go through the whole city alley by alley and street by street, we're doing it this time on an address by address basis," Bess said.

However if you live in the city and want your branches removed, you have to call first: 613-7200. That hotline will be staffed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., including weekends, through December 15.
