St. Louis, MO – Officials in Valley Park recently made it illegal for employers to hire immigrants in the country without permission, or for landlords to rent to them. The St. Louis suburb is one of several U.S. communities that have passed such laws.
Supporters of the measure say it's necessary because the federal government is not doing enough to curb illegal immigration. But opponents say it's not only harsh, but also unconstitutional.
