Springfield, Ill. – The Republican and Democrat running for Illinois Governor will debate tonight (Monday) in the central Illinois town of Decatur. The debate at Milliken University will be their first of the campaign season.
But one officially recognized candidate won't be on stage. The Green Party's nominee was never invited to take part. That lack of respect is just one of many obstacles that third parties face in politics.
