St. Louis, MO. – The military ouster of Thailand's prime minister has not affected Webster University's two campuses in that country.
That's according university President Dr. Richard Meyers.
He says a full accounting of students and staff at the graduate center in Bangkok and the undergraduate residential campus in the city of Cha-am will be conducted Wednesday.
"We've talked to the director in Thailand, actually woke her up when we heard the story and she was unaware of the coup," Meyers said. "So that would give you an idea that things are very quiet a couple of hours south of Bangkok where our campus is located."
Meyers says there are 150 students attending classes in Thailand; about 40 of them are American citizens.
He adds, though, there has not been a call for American citizens to evacuate the country.
