St. Louis, MO. – An investigation into AmerenUE and the massive power outage that occurred after last month's storms will take several months.
The Missouri Public Service Commission ordered its staff to file an initial report on the utility's response no later than this Sunday.
Today the commission's staff filed a status report that asked the commissioners for more time. The final report likely will not be filed until mid-November.
The PSC's staff said they have been in contact with the National Weather Service about the severity of the storms.
And they have begun evaluating data Ameren provided.
A PSC spokesman says the commissioners are going to announce public hearings about the St. Louis storms soon.
