St. Louis – A St. Louis police officer is recovering after a shoot-out in north St. Louis that left one man dead.
Police are not releasing the wounded officer's name.
They say the shooting suspect is 32-year-old Aaron Arnold of Belle Glade.
Police Chief Joe Mokwa said two officers got into an altercation after questioning Glade while on patrol. He began firing at them and hit one officer in the head.
The other officer ran into the man with his police cruiser.
Mokwa says the man kept firing his gun, so the police officer shot and killed him.
The wounded officer was rushed by his partner to a hospital, where he was able to walk into the emergency room with some help.
Detectives are investigating the shooting.
