St. Louis, MO – The murder suspect who walked out of St. Louis Police headquarters unnoticed has now been charged with murder, armed criminal action, and escaping custody.

Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce confirmes that the charges were filed against Ladon Grissom, 21, of St. Louis.

Grissom was being questioned Tuesday night in the murder on July 24 of Juan Frazier. When detectives left Grissom unattended briefly, he was able to break handcuffs welded to a table and walk unnoticed out the front door.

Grissom turned himself in Wednesday, telling reporters he had nothing to do with the killing. But Joyce says two witnesses said Grissom was the killer.

Police Chief Joe Mokwa has promised discipline for the officers who allowed Grissom to escape.
