St. Louis, MO – St. Louis police chief says the detectives who let a man walk away from police headquarters can expect to be disciplined.
Ladon Grissom was being questioned for murder Tuesday night and walked away unchallenged. He gave himself up Wednesday.
Mokwa says it was a huge mistake, and he apologized to the community.
Grissom was left alone during questioning long enough to break free from a shackle and walk out the front door. He was being questioned in a July killing. His parents delivered him to police just before noon.
