St. Louis, MO. – Missouri officials say the Eads Bridge is back open after being closed today due to a bomb scare.
Missouri Department of Transportation spokesman Tom Miller says a bookbag was found on the bridge, but authorities didn't find a bomb.
The bridge, which spans the Mississippi River from St. Louis to East St. Louis, Illinois, was closed in both directions during the investigation.
Traffic was diverted to nearby bridges.
