St. Louis – Except for heightened security, air travel from St. Louis and Kansas City is pretty normal in the wake of the foiled terror plot in Britain.
Lambert International Airport in St. Louis and Kansas City International Airport reported no unusual delays Thursday, but both had more security personnel and bomb-sniffing dogs.
Mark James, director of the Missouri Department of Public Safety, which oversees homeland security, said there is no specific threat in the U.S., particularly in Missouri.
He said Missouri has no direct flights from the United Kingdom.
Missouri homeland security officials were briefed on the terrorist plot around midnight in a conference call with the deputy director of intelligence for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
