St. Louis, MO – A group trying to oust St. Louis Alderman Freeman Bosley, Sr. has turned in more signatures in hopes of forcing a recall vote.
The first batch of signatures the group turned in fell about 700 valid signatures short of forcing that vote in the third ward. City law allows them a second chance to get more names.
Election officials say the group submitted about 800 more names late Monday.
Those names must now be checked to make sure they're valid; the process allows ten days for that.
If the group is still short of names after this round, the recall effort will have failed.
