St. Louis, MO – St. Louis election officials are to announce today (Monday) whether petitioners turned in enough valid signatures to force a recall vote against Alderman Freeman Bosley, Sr.

If they don't, supporters would have another chance to get extra names. But Bosley doesn't think there will be a vote.

He also turned in some names of people who signed the petition but now want to be removed from it. And he questions how the names were gathered in the first place. "Those people told folks 'this is going to get you money to fix up your house.' We even encountered one block where they said 'we're going to clean your alley and you need to sign this petition' and this is not the right thing to do," Bosley said Friday.

If supporters do have enough names, the recall vote will be held in the third ward some time between next month's primary and the November general election.
