St. Louis, MO. – A petition to recall St. Louis Alderman Freeman Bosley, Senior, was filed with the Board of Elections this afternoon (Friday).
Bosley is the alderman for the third ward in North St. Louis.
The board has ten days to certify the signatures.
The timing of the petition requires the board to hold a special election between the August primary and November general election if the signatures are certified.
Bosley faced an opponent in the Democratic primary last year and beat Jeffrey Hardin by just 19 votes. He beat independent Anthony Bell in the general election.
Four aldermen have been recalled in St. Louis history.
