St. Louis, MO – Former Blues player Tony Twist has won another round in court over a comic book creator's use of his name.
The Missouri Court of Appeals Tuesday upheld the $15 million judgement Twist won two years ago from the creator of the Spawn comic series, Todd McFarlane. Twist's name was used in the comic for a violent mob boss.
McFarlane's attorney says he will appeal this newest ruling. The Missouri Supreme Court had previously ruled that McFarlane's use of Twist's name was not protected by the First Amendment.
