St. Louis, MO – City voters go to the polls Tuesday to select two candidates for the St. Louis school board. Incumbents Darnetta Clinkscale and James Buford are trying to fend off three other challengers.
The last three years have been particularly turbulent ones for the district, and each of the five candidates is preaching reform.
The election comes as school officials launch a controversial long-range strategic plan. And as KWMUs Kevin Lavery reports, the school board race has become a referendum on that plan.
