Evansville, Ind. – An American Eagle passenger flight bound for St. Louis made an emergency landing in Evansville, Indiana, Friday morning after pilots reported smoke coming from the cockpit.
The small regional jet left Dulles Airport near Washington, D.C., and landed in Evansville just before 7 a.m.
There were 23 people on board. No one was injured.
Airport officials say all passengers were put on other flights or found rental cars to go on to St. Louis.
Officials have grounded the jet until they can determine what caused the smoke.
