St. Louis, MO – The head of St. Louis-based Solutia is adding another job. President and CEO Jeffry Quinn will now also be chairman of Solutia's board.
Solutia recently announced plan to emerge from bankruptcy that calls for it to share liability with its former parent - Monsanto - for lawsuits and environmental cleanup associated with PCB pollution.
The company anticipates emerging from Chapter Eleven later this year.
Paul Hatfield, who had been chairman, will serve as lead director.
Solutia was spun off from Monsanto Company in 1997 and filed for Chapter Eleven bankruptcy protection in 2003, citing financial obligations assigned to it from the spin-off.
