St. Louis, MO – This month in St. Louis, researchers are beginning a new study that uses genetic information to find the correct drug dose for individual patients.
The ultimate goal of this kind of research called pharmacogenetics is to improve the safety and efficacy of medicine.
In the second part of our series on pharmacogenetics, KWMU's science reporter Robert Frederick examines what researchers can learn from genetic testing and the ethical problems of having that knowledge.
