Fenton Daimler-Chrysler plant will include biodiesel

St. Louis, MO – In his State of the Union Address last week, President Bush talked about alternative energy sources to break America's addiction to oil. One alternative the President did not mention was biodiesel.

Soybean-based biodiesel is the fastest growing alternative energy source in the U.S., and Missouri is home to the National Biodiesel Board.

KWMU science reporter Robert Frederick has more on this alternative energy source, and how Daimler-Chrysler is betting on biodiesel with its billion dollar investment in the St. Louis area.
