Clayton, MO – Centene Corporation has completed a $4.275 million purchase of a parking garage from the city of Clayton.
The garage is part of Centene's plans to redevelop a section of downtown Clayton at Hanley and Forsyth into new corporate headquarters.
But the plan also includes land whose owners don't want to sell; they've started an effort to try to prevent the use of eminent domain to seize those lands.
The garage, at 7733 Carondelet, would be renovated and used in the new development, though 124 spaces would remain public parking.
