St. Louis, MO – Former British Prime Minister John Major will speak at Powell Hall Thursday evening as part of the St. Louis Speakers Series. (8:00 p.m., Powell Hall)
His lecture will be a broad discussion of global economy, terrorism, and poverty.
Major came to power just before first Persian Gulf War in 1990. But he told KWMUs Tom Weber that the current resistance in Iraq wasn't there in the 90s because the only mission of that first war was to get the Iraq out of Kuwait.
