St. Louis – The St. Louis Rams introduced their new head coach to the public Friday.
Scott Linehan signed a four year contract Thursday to replace coach Mike Martz.
Linehan is 42 years old. He was previously offensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins and the Minnesota Vikings.
He would not talk about the conflicts his predecessor had with the front office. But he did say he wants to create a family atmosphere among the team.
"We're going to start by unifying as a team, and that's in all areas. What I think you've got to understand is that we're going to do things together. We're going to make decisions together. And we will come to the right decision. And we're not always going to disagree, but we're not going to be disagreeable about it."
Linehan says hiring a new defensive coordinator is his top priority.
The Rams fired Mike Martz after the team finished 6-and-10 at the end of the last season.
However Martz missed most of the season because of a heart infection.
