Cahokia, Ill. – Funeral services were held Friday in St. Louis for a boy found beaten to death in his house in Cahokia, Ill. Christmas night.
Six-year-old Ryon Smith was buried following a funeral service.
Ryon's mother, Starr Lohman, and her live-in boyfriend, Lee Crutchfield, are charged with first-degree murder.
St. Clair County authorities have said Ryan was grossly undernourished and suffered prolonged abuse.
Lohman and Crutchfield are accused of beating the boy in the head and body.
Lohman's 20-month-old son also was at the home and has been placed with Lohman's mother.
