Jefferson City, MO. – A big jump in tax refunds carved into Missouri's general revenues last month.
New figures show November's net general revenue down six-tenths of a percentage point from the same month last year.
Yet individual income tax payments rose more than eight percent, corporate income taxes more than 31 percent and sales taxes more than four percent.
But November also brought a 150 percent increase in tax refunds paid by the state compared with November of 2004.
Office of Administration Commissioner Mike Keathley says he is investigating the cause, but has no answers yet.
