Jefferson City, MO. – Former Missouri Supreme Court Judge Chip Robertson says he's considering challenging Governor Blunt in 2008.
Robertson served on the state's highest court from 1985 to 1998 and was chief justice from 1991 to 1993.
He was appointed by Republican Governor John Ashcroft, for whom he had served as chief of staff.
Like Blunt, Robertson is a Republican. But he declined to say why he would consider challenging Blunt in a primary.
Blunt Spokesman Spence Jackson says the governor's record on education, economic development and government reform will make for a good record come
election time.
Democratic Attorney General Jay Nixon already has entered the race against Blunt.
