Girl had undiagnosed heart defect

By Maria Hickey, KWMU

St. Louis, MO. – A 16-year old girl who died unexpectedly yesterday on her way to school at Granite City High School likely had an undiagnosed congenital heart defect.

That's the preliminary finding of an autopsy conducted by Madison County Coroner Stephen Nonn Thursday morning.

Tiffanie Nicole Judd was found unresponsive after her bus pulled up to the school Wednesday.

Nonn says toxicological studies still much be done, which could take four to six weeks.
