St. Louis will get a little star power tonight (Thursday) when Robert Redford takes the stage at Powell Symphony Hall. The actor and Academy Award-winning director is taking part in the St. Louis Speakers Series.
Redford founded the Sundance Institute in 1981 as a place for independent artists to develop their visions. The highly-successful Sundance Film Festival followed a few years later.
KWMUs Maria Hickey spoke with Redford about the state of independent film-making and his long career in Hollywood.
