St. Louis, MO –

Officials at the St. Louis Zoo announced Thursday that a pregnant elephant named "Sri" (prounced SEE) could give birth at any time.

It will be the first elephant born at the Zoo since Raja, more than a decade ago. Raja also happens to be the father of this new calf.

But visitors should not expect to see the expectant mother. The zoo's curator of mammals, Martha Fisher, told KWMUs Tom Weber that Sri is being kept off-limits to visitors, and won't go public again until she's a mother.
